Ice Idanan never let her youth get in the way of success. Not only did she graduate from Film and Audio-Visual Communications in the University of the Philippines as a cum laude, she also studied cinematography in the Asian Film Academy in Busan, South Korea, and directing in the Berlinale Talent Campus in Berlin, Germany.
She already has a number of films under her belt. First is her thesis film, Limang Libo (2009), which garnered awards both locally and internationally. Her first feature film, Sakaling Hindi Makarating (2016) was met with acclaims from critics and viewers alike.
She also worked as assistant director for Dagim (2010). Her work as cinematographer is also quite extensive as she worked on Joon and Wendy (2010), Balang Araw (2012), Ruweda (2012), Kabilang Dulo (2012), Woman of the Ruins (2013), Baka Siguro Yata (2015), and Not Applicable (2015).
We definitely should expect more great work from this fresh, talented director in the future.
